REFR is no longer accepting unregistered cats or kittens for registry. The only exceptions are wild cats. If your cat is registered with another registry, that is acceptable. REFR accepts all cats from other registries. If you feel there should be an exception, please feel free to discuss it with the registrar.
Unfortunately there have been so many violations of kitten contracts (breeding of pets and cats not approved for breeding purposes) and random outcrossings, that it has become necessary to discontinue registrations for any cat or kitten whose parents are not already registered.
